Cornelia Kastner, psychologist expert in stress prevention
Why “stress” is an essential topic: Between the demands of work, family, society and ourselves, it can be easy to lose sight of the essentials. Many of my clients report sleep problems, the feeling of not being happy or being overwhelmed, purely because of their daily stresses. This is not how life should be. I have therefore set myself the goal of helping individuals and companies to successfully prevent and manage stress.
Who I work with: Although I am happy to provide support with all stress-related issues, my overriding aim as a prevention expert is to intervene before illness and lasting symptoms occur. Through a careful initial assessment and targeted intervention at the cause rather than the consequences, I help my clients not only by combating symptoms. On the contrary, my approach aims to develop new skills and habits that enable my clients to deal better with stress and strain on their own in the long term.
How I work: To be honest, I’m not a fan of “one-size-fits-all” solutions. I am convinced that sustainable solutions require individual coordination and my approach reflects this.
Therefore:
- I always tailor my process and methods to my clients and their situations. I draw on my wide-ranging expertise in the fields of occupational psychology, clinical psychology and coaching.
- I rely on scientifically sound strategies, which I keep up to date with thanks to my work as a university lecturer at two international universities.
- it is important to me to build an authentic relationship with my clients. That is why I am committed to open and honest communication from the very first moment of collaboration and to the most flexible setup possible that suits my clients.

Online consultations
Over the last few years I have had the opportunity to gain a lot of experience in the field of online consulting. I experienced such great success that this type of collaboration has now become one of my standard tools. I use the Austrian video telephony service “Therapsy”, which of course complies with the GDPR and ensures the highest level of confidentiality.
Personal advice
Depending on current availability, I also offer a limited number of places for personal consultations. These sessions take place in my practice in 1010 Vienna.
